Setting Up on On-Site Visit

  • Send a list of instruments to be calibrated and a PO number to Micro Precision Calibration Services. Your documentation is required to ensure you obtain the correct service and meet the requirements of ISO 9001:2000, QS 9000, ISO/IEC 17025:2005 and/or ANSI/NCSL Z540-1-1994. All include wording similar to ISO 9001 that states "purchasing information shall describe the product to be purchased, where appropriate: a) requirements for approval of product, procedures, processes and equipment, b) requirements for qualification of personnel, and c) quality management system requirements." Include the need for accredited service (where applicable) by including the words "A2LA Accredited Calibration" on the PO.
  • Arrange for on-site service through our field service coordinator at (530) 268-1860. Select the combination of technical expertise and days that may work for you.
  • Coordinate with your instrument users and arrange for workspace on the appointed days. Host Micro Precision technicians, make security arrangements and stage the instruments for calibration. Our calibration technicians will need a clean, well-lit area with 110VAC electrical power and stable temperature conditions. Shutdown and breakdown the instruments as necessary for calibration and provide access to Micro Precision personnel.
  • Access to instruments should be arranged with the instrument users, including any lockout tagout requirements, and a point of contact to supply the instruments to the technicians for calibration during the day(s).
