Micro Precision History

Micro Precision Calibration Inc. is a privately held corporation with headquarters in Sacramento, CA. Jerry Trammell, President and PE, established our first lab in 1969 in San Jose, CA. The Sacramento Lab was opened in 1986. National Quality Assurance registered Micro Precision Calibration to ISO 9002 in 1995. A2LA accreditation to the ISO/IEC 17025: 1999 standard was achieved in a number of disciplines as the need for Standards compliance increased among our customers.

Our lab network was expanded in 1996 to Los Angeles, CA; in 1997 to San Diego; 1999 to Tijuana, B.C. Mexico; 2001 to Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico; and in 2006 to the Philippines. Since 2007, Micro Precision Calibration has grown to 20 facilities worldwide

Today, we offer customers from various business sectors Quality Service that satisfies their requirements for standards compliance and local services.

The People at Micro Precision Calibration Services

We currently perform electrical calibration , mechanical calibration , optical calibration , pressure calibration and temperature calibration services for more than 2000 companies per year. Our staff is consist of over 450 Professionals. Our Technical Staff are trained by the National Institute of Science and Technology (NIST), ASQ, NCSLI, Fluke, Agilent, Ruska, Rohde & Scwarz, Anritzu and other industry leaders of calibration and laboratory standards that ensures our technical competence.

With two complete shifts, we are able to satisfy our emergency situations, as well as consistently provide quick turnaround calibration services.

The Facilities at Micro Precision Calibration Services

Micro Precision Calibration is located in facilities with three environmentally controlled labs. Over 250,000 calibrations per year are completed between our full-service calibration laboratories and On-Site calibrations at our customer facilities. Micro Precision also offers pick-up and delivery for your convenience.

With over 40 years in Metrology, Micro Precision Calibration has become specialist in calibration, inspection and repair of electronic and mechanical measuring and test instruments. All calibrations are traceable to National Institute of Science and Technology (NIST) and National Metrology Institute (NMI).
